Finalist for the Remagine Art Prize, 2024

"You can recycle me. I'm made from plastic bottles. By making this purchase you have helped save a sea turtle." Makes you feel a little bit better, right? But how true it is really. By now most of us know that recycling isn't all it's cracked up to be. It is, perhaps, an old-fashioned way of looking at sustainability. I know this myself. And yet... that is my hand weighed down by my "recyclable" bag. A hand barely held together, if not for the receipt from my own purchases.
